Retail Exclusive Videos – Only The Beginning
Think you’ve seen all the videos out for LBP? Look again = ) With the limitless possibilities of CREATE in LBP, we took this opportunity to craft a series of exclusive videos tailored to each retailer. We had a lot of fun adding different personalities and themes for each one, including a custom mail box that we created using the basic tools within LBP. Imagine what the possibilities are once you start creating your own levels and
objects.
For now, check out the videos we’ve created for Walmart and Amazon. We'll be updating this post with more retail exclusive videos as soon as they're released.

I don't think the Wii could pull of LBP like the PS3 can but I'm sure a whole host of wannabe games will come out in the next couple years on each other system.
Lots of comments about Canada and EU pre-orders so we wanted to address them:
To our European fans – Our counterparts in EU say not to worry, your pre-orders will be announced shortly. In all honesty, each SCE territory has different market challenges and consumer trends. In the US, pre-orders are emphasized a lot earlier in the product marketing messaging cycle. On the other side of the coin, some countries don’t emphasize pre-orders as much (or at all). Also, Europe is especially tricky because there are so many different countries, and each country has their own pre-order programs - specific to their own retail partners and consumers. Then include “X” amount of business discussions, legal discussions, logistic issues, etc, add water, and then you have a pre-order campaign (or at least a quick snapshot of the pre-order process). In the end, it just takes time to execute – so please be patient.
To our Canadian fans – Apologies for forgetting about you – we didn’t have details until today, but we have good news and ‘gooder’ news. First the good news – there will be 2* pre-order campaigns in Canada. The ‘gooder’ news is that the 2* items are Kratos SackBoy and Nariko SackGirl.
So...regarding Kratos SackBoy @ Canada, he'll be waiting for you at your local EB Games & GameStop stores (north of the boarder).
Stay tuned for more info on Nariko SackGirl when we make our announcements on the site.
*In the current internet age, we’re pretty sure you could get the BradyGames digital mini-guide if you wanted to.
And thanks, MM, for adding the sound off button (the sticker slapping sound does get a bit annoying after awhile), but it resets whenever you refresh or jump to another page on the site. And it's pretty cumbersome to have to hit the sound off button every time you load a page. Also, while the next/prev and beginning/end buttons are useful it would be more convenient to also have an array of numbered options if you wanted a page somewhere in the middle. Anyways, you guys are moving in the right direction, I'm actually very grateful you've done anything at all, but I hope you have some time to take it all the way to perfection. Just don't sacrifice LBP making time to benefit the site!!!
Last week on the PlayStation Blog, we announced the whole gamut of pre-order items planned with our North American retailers. Today, we'd like to announce more details on two of the items and the retailers supporting them. (Just to clarify - you don't get all 5 items if you pre-order, just one so choose wisely :P)
The official "LittleBigPlanet Creator" miniguide @ Amazon.com
The guys at Brady Games have been getting their hands on the game for quite a while (they're working on the upcoming strategy guide - more details on this later). They're working with the folks at Amazon.com to offer a digital miniguide as pre-order incentive. The miniguide will act as a primer to our CREATORS out there looking for more hints and tips to master the 'tools of the trade'. - Click here to hit the Amazon's LBP page.
Exclusive in-game Kratos SackBoy downloadable costume @ GameStop
OK, there were lots of questions on the PS Blog about this one, so I wanted to breakdown the above to clarify a few specifics. "Exclusive" = this is the only place in North America where you can get this exclusive costume. Currently there are no near future plans to distribute on the PS Store… "In-Game" = this is not a physical object - but the render looked so good, it sold me on that idea too. "Kratos SackBoy" = Nuff' said. "Downloadable" = Once you pre-order at GameStop, they'll give you a voucher w/ a promotional code which you can redeem on the PlayStation Store for your free download at LBP launch. Obviously you'll need a copy of LBP to access the content, but I think you guys get all that. And finally, "Costume" = the Kratos SackBoy costume actually consists of four different items (signature Kratos skin, goatee, Blades of Athena (on back), and Kratos garments. So, once obtained you can interchange these items with your normal costume inventory at anytime.
Both the retailers mentioned above start their pre-order campaigns today so if you like what you see, check out either Amazon or GameStop and pre-order now. If you’re still on hold for the other items, stay tuned for more info on the Exclusive LittleBigPouch, LittleBigStickerBook and Nariko SackGirl soon.
<<<WARNING - Blatant Marketing Message>>>
We wanted to bring attention to one of the functionalities on our site. On the bottom of each news post, you may have noticed the "Digg this" button. Not sure if all of you know, but this button is singularly the most powerful tool to help spread the word about LittleBigPlanet. (OK maybe not the singularly – but pretty darn big).
Digg is a great social networking / aggregate news / community driven website, for people to discover and share stories online. We’ve spent countless hours just browsing the best stories on the net. The thing that’s great is, anyone can submit a story, but it’s the community that Diggs (aka votes) for stories determining which ones make it on the front page. And once it hits the Digg front page, BAM, you get the “Digg Effect” – and chaos begins
…in a good way, of course.
Now before the Digg community flames us for this post (we’re pretty sure this will happen), we only want to introduce you to Digg (since we have the button). And, now that you know, we’re not saying to Digg any/everything you see, just the stories/posts you want to share with the rest of the community (assuming you want to be a part of it). Because the more people who know about LittleBigPlanet - the more people might try it. The more people that try it, the more people will join the LBP community. And the larger the community, the more CREATING and SHARING happens. Then, the more CREATING and SHARING happening, the more levels there are for people to PLAY.
<<<EOBMM>>>
This is not as much a comment as it is a question cause im new on the site and not sure where to ask questions. So here it is. Will users/players have the ability to intergrate their own music (songs) as a part of their lbp creations ?
If you don't already know, LittleBigPlanet is all about PLAY, CREATE & SHARE. This means PLAYING levels together, learning to use the in-game tools to CREATE new challenges & activities and then SHARING them with others by posting their levels online on the PLAYSTATION Network. And because we know our fans are a creative bunch, and we can't wait to see the hundreds / thousands (hopefully millions) of user generated 'things' online.
To help spark that creativity, we've created "LittleBigChallenges". Eventually, we hope that our LittleBigChallenges will motivate our "creators" to design amazing levels - but also provide our community of "players" inspiration to not only play the new levels but to start creating too. For now, we've decided to start the LittleBigChallenges with some early exercises, so without further ado...

Now that the dust has settled from E3, we'd like to thank our gaming press for the AAA treatment (attention, acclaim and accolades)! The past month we have been hammering away at finishing the game, so to have LBP getting so much attention was a huge pat on the back! For those who missed it, here are a few of our favorite E3 coverage in this week’s edition of SackBoy in the news. (Link away!)

#1 @ http://www
.torrentreactor.net/gnews
.php?id=19&lang=IL> it says that LBP was in development for the PSP at Sony Studio Liverpool, is this true or not?
#2 If they allow people to charge, it will be kinda weird because you might be thinking you're going to get a good creation, but turns out to be a disappointment. After someone puts out one failure you're not going to really want to pay for their bad levels.
